Services

At Town Vets we offer a wide range of services from routine consultations to surgery. For anything that is beyond Our expertise, we work closely with carefully chosen referral practices that can provide further services and support.

Digital X-ray

We perform x-rays in house as part of the investigation process into your pets illness when required.
X-rays require your pet to be under sedation or general anaesthesia in order to get high-quality diagnostic images.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a diagnostic technique that allows us to view live images of internal structures and can also be used to confirm pregnancies. Sedation may be required depending on patient tolerance.

Surgery

We perform a wide range of surgeries. from routine to emergency. We use sevoflurane which is the safest anaesthetic agent and requires less to provide a stable anaesthetic. All surgery is performed by experienced, qualified vets and patients are monitored by fully qualified and trained veterinary nurses from premedication to recovery. All patients booked in for surgical procedures should be dropped off between 8:30-9am.

Dentistry

We offer a range of dental services including scale and polish and tooth extractions when required. These are performed under general anaesthesia and patients are monitored throughout. As a preventative measure, we offer free six-month dental checks to all registered patients.

We also offer external lab testing.

Home Visits

We have transport to enable us to visit you and your pet at home if needed. We are fully insured to transport your pet. We can also offer a pet collection and return service to suit your needs if you are unable to leave your home.

Animal Health Certificates

Since leaving the EU, pet passports have become obsolete. If you plan on travelling with your pet, you will now need an animal health certificate. Further requirements depend on where you are travelling. We advise booking a pre-travel consult as early as possible so all arrangements can be made prior to travel.
